Cécile Balavoine

Professor of French language and literature, globe-trotter and journalist, Cécile Balavoine has taught for ten years in the United States, at Columbia University and New York University. She holds a PhD in French literature and a Master's degree in German. In addition to teaching for Columbia in Paris she writes for various magazines on topics ranging from travel to culture. She recently published the novel, Maestro, (Mercure de France, 2017) and Une fille de passage, (Mercure de France, 2020).
